WEST
On the western side of Shinjuku, an office district, businesspeople were putting an end to their busy days as December drew to a close. In the alleyways, salarymen who had completed their year-end work could be seen taking a breather at cafes.A cold wind swept through the gaps between the high-rise buildings, filling the entire city with chilly air. Christmas decorations peeked out from the windows of the buildings, and gradually, the city was being enveloped in the atmosphere of the year-end. People walking down the streets were bundled up in thick clothing, enduring the cold while already making preparations to welcome the new year. The scenery on the western side of Shinjuku was changing, and with the cold wind, a year-end quietness was spreading throughout the area.

The western side of Shinjuku exudes a crisp and clear atmosphere. It's unclear whether it's the color of the office buildings or the nature of the business district that contributes to this sensation.
